The Summoning: Highlights.

Postby grey » Mon Oct 27, 2008 2:08 pm

Hey it was great to see everyone and play with some of ya.
my 5 rounds of play consisted of 2 lfr mods, beneath the haunted halls and the zhentil keep mod.

Playing a warlord in the new system is very cool. For a fighter type you sure do get to do alot for the party.
All in all with the new system you do alot more interaction with the other players by granting them bonuses and whatnot.

My highlight of the con was when some at our table of beneath haunted halls this his impression of King Leonidas from 300. In that room with the pit you have to leap over. He bullrushed that creature comming up out of the pit right back into it while stepping on the monster and leaping to the other side screaming, "THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!"

Good to see many old faces and meet some new ones. Folks were very friendly and helpful throughout with this old D&Der who wanted to learn some 4th Edition.

I played a LFR game on Sunday with the cleric with no name, a pre-generated character provided by the organizers. I think our highlight was the "wonton" destruction that we enjoyed courtesy of Chang's Emporium.

Turns out that one of my students played at the convention on Saturday, but he has an 8th level character. The student outdoes the master, I guess.

Also good to see some postings from Mario Guzmeli on this forum. Long time no see, Mario.

Thanks to all for a nice Sunday afternoon.

Sincerely,

Otto Zequeira

I had alot of fun as well and it helped me with the grieving process due to my fathers passing away
a few days earlier. I was surrounded by friends, some I see often and others I see sparingly due to
distance or frequency of play. I missed playing with my buddy Mario who plays my dragonborn brother
in LFR but we will play together again in the near future. It was good to see you as well Otto and if
only briefly catch up on old times a bit. All in all it was a great deal of fun and I look forward to it for
near year. Hopefully the hotel people will not screw up our reservation like they did this year and not
screw us out of a decent room space for the con.

I had a good time as well...

I'm very happy the warhammer 40k game was a hit... next year I plan to help expand it a bit.

the D&D rounds did well... we had a lot of people having a good time...

and as far as I can tell, no one had any beef with anyone this year, very cool.

BTW: I have some intresting plans in the works, keep your eyes open for an interesting anoucment.

The picture with Chad with his eyes closed and Ramon looking down laughing had me yelling at Ramon to end this endless mod. It was late and Ramon's wife was home sick and she kept calling him to go home. The encounters ended with Ramon saying "my wife breathes on the creatures." It happened with the remaining combats and the game finally ended. With three full days of gaming on the third day I was tired and exhausted. I was glad to get home at thirty minutes after midnight. I was really tired. I had a lot of fun and look forward to it next year.

I am on the phone with Ralph, The Godfather of DnD in Miami, right now and I told him about your question. He is not at a
computer so he told me to post the answer to your question. The answer is because it is hard
to tell the difference between Peter's face and his ass. ;)

Just kidding... kinda.

Ralph, The Godfather of DnD in Miami, has a thing for lound, small, hairy Cubans; it's a fetish thing. I think it started with the whole Rene "Hairy Legs" Alfonso and then finally peaked during Winter Fantasy when thirteen of us were crowded into one hotel room for an entire weekend. Ralph, The Godfather of DnD in Miami,, you can get help, all you have to do is ask...

We all thought it was so cute of her to miss you, and a clever way for you to end the game early.:D

ZOMG ED, my wife read your comment about "She Breathes on the Creatures" and I am now sleeping in the dog house!

Ed, I forsee many crits on your PCs the next time Ramon runs a table. Not sure why exactly but I just
have a hunch that I'm right.
