Witch Hunter went very very well with the exception of the storyteller. he sucked. he was fat and bald and way too annoying. Just kidding. Fun Fun game. possibly the most fun setting since VtM. Only wish I could play more.

Heh, I find it funny that people bitch about roleplaying and then they have the chance to roleplay and they bitch that they don't want to do it. Saw it during the Witch Hunter game, during the LA and during the Blackmoor.

Funny as hell to watch Ramon "roleplaying" being asleep...

My major copmplaint is about the venue. The Summoning needs to move form that place. No Security, No Amenities. No Bar. No place to eat within walking distance. Cars broken into everyday. We need a new place

I like the hotel it was in this year as far as how nice it appears and the
breakfast offerings were really good.

However....

They f*cked it up with the security. Saturday night a car got broken into
and it was reported. Common sense would tell you that a hotel who
knows they are having a con for the whole weekend and their is a break
in to a car on Saturday, they were morons for not putting someone to
patrol the parking lot. I would not mind the bar except that I don't want
to play D&D with someone who has had too much to drink & plays like a
complete asshole screw-up. Places to eat are not that far away. There
is a Mcdonalds and Burger King on 7th Street off 57th Ave and I
ordered pizza from the Pizza Hut on Lejeune /42nd Ave and 3rd or 4th
street nd they delivered promptly.

Despite this, I agree with Adolpho. We need a new place with better
security and also the rooms where we play should be bigger. I still
remember the room at the Holiday Inn on US 1 that we did Nights in
the Circle in. It had ample space and in is located in an area that has
alot going for it.

No hotel is going to give you security. Don't bank on this. I've never seen it before. At FIU, there were constant break ins in cars. There is a police station there, didn't stop the robers.

At malls, there is constant break ins. Most malls don't do a thing about it. This crime is not new. I would never leave things exposed in the car. Even if I were shopping at Dadeland, you are advertising to get robbed.

I always leave my stuff in the trunk. If you have something left in the car you are advertising to being robbed. If you can't leave it in the trunk carry it with you, if you can't do that don't buy the item.

Don't be shocked, you must be prepared for this. It is not new as I have said before. This is advice the police will give you. We live in interesting times my friend.

By the way, don't consider this a troll and don't send trolls back at me. I'm just stating what I consider to be true. I think Ramon was told or I think he said something along the lines that he asked if the hotel had a policy against robery in the hotel. They said yes, but they are not doing anything about it.

um....I know this sounds stupid but when I was workking security at hotels if a con wanted extra security they had to pay for it, witch kinda sucks cuz you have to pay for the overtive +watever fee the hotel adds on, but thats only if you wannted some at a spisific post

I understand this but here's my point. A robbery was committed on
Saturday. So how the heck would they not try and put somebody out
there knowing the con would continue on Sunday and after the Saturday
robbery was reported? This was negligent on there behalf. Sure a
person should be more careful with their stuff but at the same time the
hotel had notice of a crime committed on their property & knowing that
the conditions existed for it to possibly happen again were still in place
did not do enough. That is my opinion but what the law says and my
opinion is are two different things.

It probably takes a couple of days to hire someone to look after the parking lot, maybe, more to hire a rent a cop. I don't know, they could have hired someone to look after the parking lot like a cop, but like Aurilio says. You probably have to pay for it.

I have never heard of a hotel paying someone to watch a parking lot for a few days. They probably have a "Park at your own risk" policy.

if the hotel has security you could ASK them to post someone there, but like I said it raises the price you have to pay for hosting the con, I remember 1 year working at the raddison for the lifestyles con. they asked for one officer to stay in the dealer room while it was closed for the nigt, and we had to lock the guy in thier, but that con's free was like 1k per person for the weekend
