How typical of you PJ

Postby thetrickygnome » Fri Jul 27, 2007 9:07 am

Hey Rene you need a big cup of "SHUT THE f*ck UPâ„¢"

Wow.. how insightful of you PJ. If this is the collective attitude of our
area then this is pretty sad. I wish I had a dollar for everytime I read
a comment that gave the impression that this forum was for nothing
more than trading insults and pointless drivel. I'd be so rich that
winning the lottery would be like spare change to me. You know where
you can put that cup PJ. :o

Peter, you need to get less serious and more into the flow. Rene is getting up tight again. And I wouldn't sell those cups at WiPoU because it undermines what WiPoU is for, the region, that's what.

I told Greg that the cups were a bad idea.

PJ is right

Postby thetrickygnome » Fri Jul 27, 2007 9:59 am

Well there's a bit of sanity. Yes, that cup would not speak well of us.
Regional unity may be a whole shitload of wishful thinking but we'd
be doing a disservice to the playerbase if we didn't keep trying.

And PJ, yeah, I'm uptight. I had an interesting conference call yester-
day with Greg and Ramon. Afterwards I came to a few conclusions:

1) Greg, despite his arrogant nature, is very level-headed about the
cons planned in Miami for the rest of the year. I get the sense that his
determination and ability to detach himself from the stupid drama that
seeps into and gets in the way of having successful gaming is a HUGE
benefit to us. Like I said, sometimes it's all about gettign the job done
and screw the drama. I even went so far as to say that almost at
peace with his arrogance -they found that rather funny. ;)

2) Ramon is a bit of loose cannon. IMHO, he is still consumed by the
stupid drama of the past. He is WAY too emotional and can't seem to
seperate his personal feelings from what needs to be done. He has a
right to help since he is funding the cons and I would like him to help
because he is good at organizing but in the emotional state he was in
yesterday, I'd rather deal with Greg, you, or Ralph, The Godfather of DnD in Miami, regarding WiPoU.
I think it would be less stressful for me and I already have mixed
feeling about WiPoU as it is in terms of the depth of my involvement.

I heard great things about your maps for the con PJ so I am anxious
to see asample. I think that if I sent them to Michael and Bill and they
are as good as I heard, it would do alot to show how important this is
to us and how hard you guys are going at the task. Keep up the good
work. ;)

I agree with you Rene. Whatever we might think about Greg. He is a very hard worker and when things need to get done he is man enough to put the bullshit aside and work.

I think people misteak his arrogance. He knows his sh*t and in everything he does he puts in 150% effort.
That's probably why there's so much disagreement between him and others.
He doesn't think he's right. He knows he is. And if you disagree with that then there will be a confict.
I think people need to trust in Greg's work more. and maybe not to try micromanaging his stuff so much.

I agree with you there, Greg is as they say "ON TARGET" then he puts his mind to it. I rarely ever see something disturb him off what he is doing. Man has a mind like a Adamantine Trap.

I don't like Greg. He will kill all my characters with out remorse. So far I have survived, but for how long. I expect to die in any mod he is in this year. Blackmoor or Living Greyhawk, my characters barely survived so far. I expect to be dead by the end of the year in all those campaigns.

Apples and oranges

Postby thetrickygnome » Fri Jul 27, 2007 5:51 pm

Ed, I'm not talking about the style of his mods or their danger level.
What I am talking about is organizing a con and not getting caught up
or contributing to the putrid drama crap that keeps plaguing our region
and specifically our area. He is detached enough to brush it aside but
determined enough to get it done. I cannot say that about everyone
else. I'll be honest with you - not liking him because his mods are tough
is entirely up to you but that has NO bearing whatsoever on con
organizing. I'm befuddled as to why you would mention this when it has
no bearing on what I said.

Ed don't feel bad, my main character in the home game died like five times while my secondary is the highest level character in the home game at the moment. I had a curse on the main character slot but the secondary pulled through and I finally figured out the secret to surviving Greg's games, I'll tell you if you come today.
