A Blackmoor bonanza

Postby thetrickygnome » Thu Oct 11, 2007 12:55 pm

Well I think I will to the Wizards Cabal story arc because I saw a blurb
that made my eyes widen like the moon. There are so many mods
there. A pity I won't be able to d oall of them.

Silly boy... you have yet to learn

Postby thetrickygnome » Thu Oct 11, 2007 1:21 pm

Okay Ed... here's why

1) You obviously did a poor job of reading the blurbs and I'll leave it
at that.

2) Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

3) Insellegal, the good dragon god of magic is no one to trifle and piss
off and your moronic organization did both. Congratulations to all the
suck-nut Cabalists out there for proving that even the smartest people
in the world can be the biggest idiots.

4) I still owe you for using a scorching ray to damn near indirectly kill
me. Even I knew that was a bad idea.

5) I love making life difficult for the Wizards Cabal. Someone has to
remind them that it's hard to see the world as it really is with their
heads stuck so far up there ass.

6) If you think The Summoning is going to be interesting for the
Wizards Cabal then form what I hear MegaCon will blow the roof
off things Cabal-related.

7) "Flames of Perdition"... oh, was that my out loud voice?

Rene,

Look this convention is different than any other convention you've been to. We took the Living Arcanis model of story telling and we kicked it up another notch for these four different story tracks.

If anyone is planning to play Blackmoor during the Summoning these tracks are the penultimate breakdown for the following three arcs:

Wizard's Cabal Arc (High/Low)
Dwoemer Realm Arc (High Level Only)
Wizard's Cabal/Faerie Arc (Low Level)

Don't worry if you don't get to play everything because one the modules get released then we'll set up gamedays to accomadate the other arcs. So just come prepared to get your mind blown by twenty-four hours (in the case of the High Level Arcs twenty-eight hours) of straight continuous story line over six individual modules. Once this is completed on Sunday we'll take a breather and do the following:

Cutty Black Sow (Businessmen of Blackmoor Arc)
Where Angels Fear to Tread (Infernal Darkness Part 2)
- Philip Slama

"Sex is like the death penalty. One outcome, multiple ways to carry it out," -Stephen Colbert.

Face it Rene, you are helping the Wizard Cabal. To hate a thing and move in the direction for it borders on insanity, but that is the way you are playing your character.

Okay, you got the "hate" part right. Kudos for you Ed
You got the insanity part right but in my case it applies to the
player and not my PC. You're only half-right there.
And as for why I would get involved in the Wizard Cabal story line -
no offense Ed but open your mypopic eyes and look at the schedule.
A vast chunk of the mods are Wizard Cabal storyline. I don't know
where the heck you are getting this "moving in the direction" thing.
The way I see it, the best way to point of the failings and corruption
of the Wizards Cabal is to stand in its face, be a thorn on its side, &
help bring their hypocrisy and fear-mongering, extortionist band of
power hungry despots to light. If no one stands up to them then they
will just keep getting away with their crap.

Look, I understand you are playing your character and seeing things
thru his eyes. I'd like to see how you react when some of the
corruption of the Cabal is brought to light before your eyes. Knowing
you and every other foolish Wizard Cabalist out there you will find a
way to justify even their most heinous actions. That may endear you
to the Cabal but in reality it just proves what I have been saying all
along. The Cabal breeds their people to be order-following drones
without enough spine, common sense, or moral and ethical fiber to
see that something is wrong and question it.

I expect you to be a loyal blind dog - I have seen very little from
Cabalists so far ( with the exception of PJ ) to make me believe that
your just another puppet that the Cabal can pull strings on to get what
they want and keep their hold of power.

What you call insanity I call taking a stand. To bad your PC, and maybe
even you don't seem to have the common sense to figure that out. Oh,
and I have plans dear boy... just wait and see. ;)

All I'm saying Rene is that the "main" story for this convention is the Wizard's Cabal. The fact that I was able to secure all of Greg Walker's and my own episodes relating to this arc only helped solidified what transpires in the final three episodes of the Wizard's Cabal arc. We're going to ensure that if you play the high-level Wizard's Cabal option you are going to get twenty-eight hours of continuous story and during that time I'm going to tally the results of all of the tables involved in the "Thicker than Water..." arc from MegaCon to The Summoning and then plan out the year four story from there.

This is your big chance people.

Don't say you never got one.

Rene, you know the right direction is to help out the Cabal in those mods. You know that is the right way to go any other direction weakens the end of the mod. That means in order to end the mod correctly, you must help out the Cabal. MUHAHAHA!

As for any evil in the Cabal, they are not the Cabal, they are just in it. They must be purged, such as any Cabalist that lets a Criminal Sorcerer who has killed many go. I'm sure you would love to help out the underground Sorcerer gang. They just declared war on the population, not just the Cabal.

Ed, you are a fool

Postby thetrickygnome » Fri Oct 12, 2007 2:56 pm

Ed, why don't seperate your lips from the butt cheeks of your Blackmoor
PC for at least two seconds. You might see things more clearly that way.

Mario has the right idea. And I wasn't aware that you had picked up
levels in divine oracle that allowed you to see the future. Wow.. that
is impressive Ed. I don't know what war you are talking about but
I'm not going to waste time talking to you if your just going to play the
role of Wizard Cabal dipstick. And I really doubt the Eldritch
Underground would declare war on the population. Why the hell would
they want to give the populace and the Wizards Cabal more ammo by
which to allow the Wizard Cabal to strengthen the portrayal of
sorcerers as monsters? The Eldritch Underground to me is about
keeping a low profile and doing things behind the scenes. To openly
challenge the Wizards Cabal with the power that the Cabal has gained
thanks to all their fear-mongering propaganda and jerking the strings
of King Uther the puppet is suicidal.

Nice try Ed. Next time come up with better material that does not make
your PC sound like a buffoon. I can forgive you not being able to see
what is going on but it's hard for me to forgive your attitude of seeing
what is going on and turning a blind eye to it. Being uninformed is not
bad - being ignorant is. Try to be less of the latter and you should be
fine. ;)

There is a mod that you choose sides. If you choose the Cabal side, you get more rewards. If you choose the underground side, you get less rewards. In that mod, it seems to me, the eldritch underground wants war with the Cabal.

What I mean by helping the Cabal, that most mods when you do, you finish the mods correctly. Hence, if you are not helping the Cabal, you are not finishing the mod correctly. That is what I see out of these Cabal mods.

Heh, Ed, you should read a few more books. I'm not that limited in my writing and my devious planning. You've only played Episode 68 that we all playtested. You haven't done Episode 59: Shadow in the Dark, you haven't played Episode X: Roundabout, you haven't played Episode X: The Dawn of Goss, you haven't played Episode X: Retrieval.

Until you play them all you won't understand what is happening. You only have snapshots of the larger picture, you haven't pieced it together yet. Remember when I died? Well my PC got some fun wisdom in the process of the death when I was sent back through Divine Intervention.
