As for when you were about to walk out because you did not have things go your way. I hate that, I have had that happen to me too many times when someone needs to go somewhere or when there too tired so they quit. It ends the mod and you can't make up for that, and you don't get credit for the whole thing. No one likes quitters, I think you get too frustrated too easily. Even if you die, don't lie down and quit, it is only a game, keep on playing anyway.
WARNING: THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILER INFO ON THE LA MOD SHATTERED DREAMS, PLEASE DON'T PROCEED IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED IT.
Look man, I admit I was frustrated in Shattered Dreams. As for me walking out, I didn't now did I. Sure I said it sucked and complained a lot, but that encounter did suck, and I think most who went through it would agree. Particularly the UNFAIR way that Matt was running it, where everyone ganged up on one PC. It really seemed at the time like he was arbitrarily trying to just KILL PCs, which CANNOT be justified for a DM, depite how much joking people do about it. If a DM is just out to kill players that is wrong, PERIOD. The way the mod worked seemed EXTREMELY unfair to me, and I think my reaction was probably not uncommon.
The fact is that with the LA mods, you never ever know what they are throwing at you. It could be a smoke screen, a red herring, or an EL 20 encounter, so my reaction was completely justified IMO.
As for you crying that you hate when people have to leave a mod, TOUGH. This is a game as you say, so deal with it. For someone pointing the finger at me for complaining, you certainly need to learn to cope with your own whiny inadequacies. I HYPOTHETICALLY said that I WOULD walk out, and sure I felt like walking out, but the fact is I didn't.
I do get fraustrated easily in mods, and I do complain when situations suck. Sorry I don't take it lying down man, but you do things your way, and I do things my my way.
I am emotional about the game, because I really enjoy it, and have about 3 years invested into my character. If you have a personal problem with the way I play, then don't play with me.
Frankly Ed, I like you and have absoulutely NO PROBLEM with you or playing with you, but if you can't take the way I play, don't torture yourself man.
I personally don't like to play with Scott. I have had a few verbal altercations with him, and when I play, I usually ask ahead of time if he will be there, specifically because I argue with him to the point that it is a distraction to the game, and that is not fair to others.
And I hate to break it to you, but if you're dead you cannot continue to play man. Atleast not unless they raise you. Who was going to raise me? Your 4th level cleric?
