They're lookign for writer too...

Postby thetrickygnome » Mon Nov 22, 2004 9:55 pm

I am a member of the LG Authors Yahoo group and they posted a
message on there saying they were lookng for people that write for
LG to write Eberron adventures. I always thought they'd keep it all in
house but I guess not.

Ebboron is a 25 point system. How much interest can that generate.
There are lies, damned lies and statistics.

Umm.... But what's the excitement in playing a character you know **CAN NOT** fail?... Who knows their motivations, but I assume it's to make the setting and living campaign a bit more diversified.

Though, if you think about it, you'll probably have shetloads of specialists running around that can fall over in certain areas and are UBER-stats in other areas... But heck it's all just talk.

That quote alone speaks volumes.

I like the 25 point buy. This isn't Marvel or DC: the RPG.

The interest is in the character, not the stats.

I won't comment further on this.

25 point buy... sucks....

You can't make a good muti-classed character with that point build.. let alone a monk...

I wanted to try the adventures so I used the pre-gen kobold wizard... low and behold! 18 int... and all the other stats sucked...

Thats the way most of the characters will look.. and BTW if the mods are anything like GR... you need to be a bad ass at mid to higher levels or you will die..

and yes.. they ripped off a LOT of elements from arcanis ::grumbles::

Sorry Peter, I doubt Arcanis was even a "ping" on the radar. Keith has never mentioned Arcanis as inspiration, and Arcanis has done nothing new that other game systems and authors and novelists have not done before. I'm not saying that Eberron is any better, but there is nothing new in the world, only tweaks. That's what both worlds are, tweaks on themes. New takes on old ideas. Sorry Peter, you are wrong. :)

Again Peter...its about character. You've been palying con-style too long. Its a mindset that does not foster RP. You can, I've seen you do it. Just get past the numbers. :)

Why? It's recommend that the Hobgoblins use the Samurai class, as they are disciplined warriors with ohnor. :)

Goblins, all they want to do is eat human flesh. No matter what guise they wear, their nature cannot be changed. Put a hic in a dress and she still talks like a hic. The only tame goblin is a dead Goblin.

Goblin Paladins are AWESOME. We are playing them for the roleplaying fun we are going to have messing with the judge and the other players! My character is named after the bad guy in Zoolander.
