How does this work?

Postby DocJRS » Fri Sep 27, 2002 2:24 pm

Ok, You've peaked my interest, but having never LARPed before, how does this work?

I've read a lot of the Vampire stuff, know the ideas and concepts behind the World of Darkness and so on, but can you give me some info on the mechanics of it all, or point out somewhere where I can find this?

Ta!

John.

Well LARP is the acronym for live action roleplaying. So essentially you physically act out your character. much like an actor does on a stage.
I posted earlier some info on vampire in another post. take a look at the different types of vampires you can play and some in game stuff.
take a look here.

And we will be having 3 very good writers doing the plot line. peter, adolpho and the sinister max.
Knowledge is power, Power corrupts, Study hard be evil.
Nobody's perfect... well, there was this one guy, but we killed him.

LARP is basically role-playing a character physically, instead
of at the table, like street performers. It's mostly persona
driven (in theory) and conflict resolution is handled by the time-
honoured Rock-Paper-Scissor technique.

To sum it up.
