I will ACTUALLY be surprised if one day Shane does not have a cynic, pessimistic opinion about anything RPG related upfront.

It's not that he hasn't had them; he has, and I have been surprised.

I am actually very curious about Vampire: The Requiem. Most people think I am a D&D geek, when in truth I am a Vampire geek. :)

That's a shame Dan, as that can only be based on what I say here.

I was optimistid, excited, and not let down by:

Traveller d20
Ravenloft d20
Babylon 5 d20
Arcana Unearthed
Oriental Adventures (not Rokugan suplements)

One I knew nothing about but was excited once I saw it (and this stretches back a bit):

Slaine
Ghostwalk
d20 Modern
Urban Arcana
Kingdoms of Kalamar
Kindred of the East

I boo and complain about the management of product lines, yes.
I booed both WotC and White Wolf. But the THREE bookselves of
White Wolf, and TWO bookselves of WotC material should paint
a different story. I just air my opinions here. Nothing more. People
say they don't like it, that's their choice. No one says we all have
to get along.

I just don't think the PS style reset button was what was needed.
Others disagreed, and pressed the Big Red Shiny Button. Now we
have Vampire 2.1 for workgroups.

That's just the way the world has turned :)

As an add on for the above ramble...:)

I don't usually post about the games I love, as most people bring up topics that either have no interest to me or annoy me. So, we here more about what I don't like or can't stand than positive stuff. It's easier to post negative opinions quickly, so I'll try a positive one.

I really love Kindred of the East. Best game WotC ever put out. Add in the suplements like Hengiyoki (SP?) and the city books, and it was fantastics.

The ORIGINAL, not rehashed, Dark Ages was beautiful, and could be mixed with Werewolf Dark Ages (original softback) and Kindred of the East quite easily.

Both those were great games.

See, not to hard. :D
