Unfortunately I have neither the time nor can i put any effort into running a club.
If we want to see a club someone is going to have to step up and take charge.

You want someone to help herd kittens? I'm here. Willing to help, give the effort, etc...

After the 16th of Sept I will have more time. Interested in getting together and putting some meat to this? My biggest problem is finding gamers... Even if it's just a monthly meet-up to get some gaming on, I'm sure we can do it!

Well that is what this site is for, the ammassing of the gamer horde and distribution of information.
As long as you schedule it they will come.

Mmm.... That sounds a bit too philosophical... Responses to most petitions for "Gamers Wanted" have fallen on deaf ears, though the random attempt has garnered some results. **Thanks again PJ, still need to call you, BTW** More so than anything it's about showing the craft off and recruiting at the FLGS... Which is now down to how many in Miami-Dade? Are there still only two options?

2 options are better than none I spoze.
but it still boils down to someone rolling up their sleeves to provide that 3rd option.

and like the old saying goes. you can lead a horse to water...
i do my best to provide a place where information can be centralized. but we can't make people play games.

PM'd a response. Seriously though, you are VERY correct. I'm not thinking about saying what games we can/do play but more showing what games people are playing...

PM me, time @ phone number. Tonight's utter shyte for making an appearance, but would like to start getting contacts for putting together a published schedule of what is available locally. Ideally with at least an e-mail to contact the DM / Group.

Planning Ahead

Postby MorganWolf » Fri Sep 08, 2006 12:33 pm

Hello everyone,
I have been watching the site for the last 2 days as I have been at Dragon Con 2006 and just began to read the posts. I am happy to see that there is an interest in some other things, but those of you interested in running said events need to contact those in charge of the event.
pre-mature planning can have its up's and down's as we need to know that such things are being planned and the 2 people to contact about this are Ramon & myself(Rafael T.), just contact us about what you want to see happen at the summoning and we can see how it can be accommidated at the con. We want to see other things sprouting up but it needs to be told to us that it is happening.

thank you.

Already sent info regarding one event that I'd like to run (via the "Volunteer" link available on summoningcon.com, correct?)

Other than that, it's the only thing I've confirmed as an item I'd like to run. Not that it's made the "official" list yet. ;-)

<EDIT>
Just heard from someone over at Dragon's Lair that they've also submitted info through the Summoning Con website and received no feedback. I can send the details if you need, or jump onto their Yahoo Group.
